    don't worry, be happy

Worry can be the great motivator or the great procrastinator. For some, the fear of not being able to pay their bills or being rejected by their peers can motivate them to do good things. The problem with this is that life has to be dealing them a bad hand in order to motivate them to do great work.

On the other hands, some people are paralyzed by worry. They’ll sit around, complain, and wallow in their fear but always seem to wait to the last minute to act on anything. Their procrastination results in mediocre work which only compounds their fear since now they have to worry about what people think of their below average work.

The great leaders of today are not worriers. Fear does not drive them to be great. If it did, they’d constantly be reactive to the situations around them. Instead, the great leaders of today are proactive. They get excited about ideas, challenges, and new opportunities. They do not wait for someone to tell them to move but they move forward without regard for the status quo. Because of this, they’re always one step ahead of the rest.

If you lead a non-profit or a business, the last thing you need is worry. Worry doesn’t change your circumstance. And it focuses your attention on defending yourself rather than moving your organization forward. Get past it. Stop procrastinating and start leading.
